We all know how irritating those dark circles under our eyes can be. It makes you look tired and older than you really are. As we age, our skin gets thinner around the eyes and you start to lose the fat and collagen that you need the skin’s elasticity, so the dark circles look even worse. The big question is: How to hide dark circles like a pro?
How to Hide Dark Circles – Step 1
Skincare is essential, and everybody knows that. Before any makeup, I use a cleanser, toner and moisturizer. My favorite cosmetics is the Japanese brand, Shu Uemura.
Step 2
After skincare, when the skin absorbs all the ingredients, you should put a primer. If you’re looking for a quick fix, you’ll likely need a color corrector to cover dark circles. Choose a pink concealer. You don’t have a pink concealer? Don’t worry. Light pink creamy lipstick will do the job. Just blend it well all around eyes.
How to Hide Dark Circles – Step 3
Apply a foundation in your skin color. After that choose regular concealer but choose the one that’s one to two shades lighter than the color of your foundation. Find the sweet spot between too much product and not enough. You want to apply enough to cover the entire area and be able to blend it without making the coverage splotchy or too thin, but you don’t want to cake it on the delicate eye area either.
Step 4
In the end, as a final touch, use a flat thin sponge and gently apply a thin layer of pressed powder under your eyes.
